I still cherish the time I played on your SQBC baseball team in the early 1960s. You taught me much more than baseball. RIP Coach Bill!

My baseball coach counselor at the South Queens Boys Club passed on Sunday Billy "Red" Veltri was not only a coach/manager he was a mentor He played 2nd base for NYU played in the Queens Alliance League Baseball League that I would play in for 17 yrs a few years later Refereed for the NCAA in basketball Taught Heath-Ed in Long Island HS Schools Served our Country in the early 60's Did much for his Church and for the many people in need of help Yup watched Billy play the game with passion and love Had fun playing roller hockey with him and with the boys from the block and rooting for the NY Rangers To his Family and Friends he was a good guy Dan Carubia Valatie NY
