Farmingdale, NY 11735

Services to follow at the chapel at St. Charles Cemetery
Joe was predeceased by his wife Grace Mirabile Lumia, his son Gus Lumia, his son-in-law Angelo Panariello, and his grandson Vincent Panariello. Joe is survived by his daughter Lillian Panariello, his grandchildren Peter Panariello, Joseph Panariello, Angela Krupka, Loreen DiMatteo, Joseph DiMatteo, Dana DiMatteo, Paul DiMatteo, and eleven great-grandchildren.
Joe loved his family and friends, playing cards, and rooting for the New York Yankees, Giants, Knicks and Rangers. He proudly served in the Army during WWII at Pearl Harbor and in Japan. He worked for many years for Robert Hall clothing (he was an amazing tailor) and Madison Square Garden (for almost two decades). He spent the rest of his free time supporting his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and friends. We were so lucky to know Joe and have him as part of our life!
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in his name to one of the two charities listed below:
