Life Story for Joseph S Pellegriti

Joseph S  Pellegriti
Joseph S. Pellegriti, 70, passed away on the 17th of April 2018, in the West Palm Beach, FL VA Hospital after a long battle with cancer.
Joseph was born May 9th, 1947 in Brooklyn, NY. He was the son of the late Joseph and Carmella Pellegriti. He graduated from Aviation High School in Long Island City, NY
Called to serve his country in the United State Army, his bravery during the Vietnam War as a combat wounded veteran earned him a purple heart. After completing his term of enlistment, Joe continued his devotion to service by dedicating his life to advocating for the support and recognition of his fellow Vietnam veterans.
Joe made his career as an aviation mechanic, and he retired from Garrett Aviation in 1985. Joe was also a long time volunteer at The American Airpower Museum in Farmingdale, NY.
He is survived by his son, Danny Pellegriti of New York, NY, daughter, Ginger A Abbott and her husband, Thomas R. Abbott, of Bluffton, SC, and ex-wife Una Mary Brady, mother to his children, as well as grandchildren Kaelyn Olivia, Savannah Rose, and soon arriving Harper Carmella. He is also survived by his one sister, Angela Sayers (Pellegriti) and 2 nephews, John and Stephen and predeceased by nephew Philip Sayers, cousin Carmella Altieri and son Alex.
