Obituary for James J. Smith Sr.

Smith, Sr., James J. of Farmingdale on October 17, 2017. Devoted husband of Margaret. Loving father of Patrick (Andrea), Rosemary, Maureen Linder (Bill), James Jr. (Theresa), Pamela Miller (Glenn), Kevin (Kathy), and Brendan. Cherished grandfather of 13 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Also survived by his sister Eileen Rosenthal and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Proud member of the NYPD where he served as a Detective in the Rockaways. Family will receive friends Thursday 2-4pm & 7-9:30pm at the McCourt and Trudden Funeral Home Inc. 385 Main St. Farmingdale. Funeral Mass Friday 10:15 @ St. James RC Church. Interment Pinelawn Memorial Park.
