Stephen Anthony Walata, Jr. passed away on February 3, 2023. Steve was born in Brooklyn, NY on February 16, 1932, and was predeceased by his wife, Marie. Steve served in the New York National Guard and enjoyed a successful career at Miteq. Steve and Marie had a long and happy life together during their 68 years of marriage, with extensive travel (“dinner in Aruba”) and never-ending love for their family. Steve is survived by his three children Stephen (Lindsey), Alison (Bruce) and Douglas (Diane), and his grandchildren Lauren, Bruce Jr., Erika, Geneva (Matt), Lucas, Gabriella (Cameron), and Isabella. The family will receive visitors Monday, February 13th, between 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm, and Tuesday, February 14th between 9 and 10:30 am. The funeral service will be held at 10:30 am. Interment will follow at Pinelawn Memorial Park at 11:30. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Steve’s memory to HorseAbility, horseability.org.
