Nicosia, Salvatore J. of Farmingdale passed away on January 29, 2021 at the age of 84. After receiving his Juris Doctor from the St. John's University School of Law, he had a distinguished career as a local attorney and proudly served as a Judge for the State of New York and the Village of Farmingdale. He was a longtime member of Rotary International. An avid golfer, he was a longtime member of the Mill River Club in Upper Brookville, NY. He is survived by his devoted wife of 62 years, Barbara. He was a loving father of James (Diane) and Susan (Mike) and the loving brother of Lawrence Nicosia and Maryann DiStefano. He was a cherished grandfather of Christopher, Jennifer, Mark, Stephanie and Thomas. He was a devoted uncle to many nieces and nephews and a friend and colleague to innumerable others. A private interment will be held Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at St. Charles Cemetery. The family will hold a celebration of life at a late date. Funeral arrangements entrusted to McCourt and Trudden Funeral Home Inc. 385 Main St. Farmingdale. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to your charity of choice to honor his life.
