Obituary for Leonard H Czarnecki

Leonard H. Czarnecki, of Melbourne, FL, passed away Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at 82 years old.

Known to friends as “Lenny,” he was born December 24, 1938 in Brooklyn, NY. He and his wife, Loretta, moved to Levittown, Long Island, where they raised their three children, Dawn, Leonard Jr. and Elizabeth.

Upon retirement as a bus driver in Brooklyn for the MTA, he began working security at North Shore Hospital in Manhasset. He and his wife then moved to Melbourne and stayed there for 17 years.

Lenny enjoyed spending time with his loved ones, often traveling with his friends and beloved wife. A “grandpa” and “poppy” to seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, he was known to share card games and magic tricks with them, as well as join them on trips to Disney World, Sea World and Downtown Disney.

A generous, kind and loving man, Lenny was a great protector of his family and always put them first.

Lenny is joined in heaven by his wife of 54 years, Loretta, daughter, Dawn, sister Gloria Finnegan and many other friends and family.

He will forever be missed by his children, Leonard and Elizabeth, son-in-law Scott Mosher, sister Catherine Mallozzi, brother-in-law Joe Mallozzi, his grandchildren, great-grandchildren and many others whose lives he touched.
