Joyce (Kestler) Shanahan, 80, of Greensburg, died Wednesday, December 22, 2021. She was born January 14, 1941, in Manhattan, NY, a daughter of the late Ralph and Margaret Picciano Kestler. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James J. Shanahan. She is survived by her five children, John J. Shanahan (Kay) of Hilton Head, SC, Terrie Barill (Mark) of Greensburg, Janet Madden (Jim) of Richmond, VA, Catherine Shanahan Baldwin (Terry) of Hilton Head, SC, and Karen Skatell (Christopher) of Greensburg; seven grandchildren, Dorion Barill (Antonia), Sean Brendan Barill, Danielle Kelly (Charlie), John Thomas Bucsek, and Zachary, Abigail and Gabriella Skatell; two sisters, Elizabeth Rick of FL and Marguerite Pringle (William) of IL and many nieces and nephews. All services will be held in Long Island, NY on Wednesday, December 29th. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to UPMC Hillman Cancer Center, 200 Village Drive, Greensburg, PA 15601.
