Josephine Cestone Porcaro, 77, of New Port Richey, FL, formerly of Ozone Park, NY, passed on May 15, 2016, after a brief illness.

Born in August, 1938 in Calitri, Italy, she emigrated to the United States when she was 18 years old, residing in New Rochelle, NY. Josephine was a seamstress by trade, and later in life, a school bus aid for children with special needs. She was a beloved mother and grandmother, who loved cooking and sharing family recipes.

She is predeceased by her late husband of 44 years Peter Porcaro, Sr. of Ozone Park, NY. She is survived by son, Peter (Megan) Porcaro of Natick, MA, son, Joseph (Diane) Porcaro of Shirley, NY, grandsons Collin and Luke Porcaro of Natick MA, brother Antonio (Annette) Cestone, of Ossining, NY, and several nieces and nephews.

Viewing hours will be 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM on Friday, May 20, 2016 at McCourt and Trudden Funeral Home, 385 Main Street, Farmingdale, NY. Funeral service at St. Kilian's, 485 Conklin St., Farmingdale, Saturday, May 21, 2016 at 9:30 AM.
