Obituary for Inge L Heuser

Inge Heuser (Née Zillman) was born on November 30th 1934 in Lübeck Germany.
She became a nurse and met the love of her life, Jorg Heuser at a neighborhood Christmas party in Hamburg.
They married in 1961 and have been inseparable ever since.

They began building a family welcoming their son Andreas (Kathy),
closely followed by another son, Peter.

Determined to make a better life for their growing family they immigrated to America in the mid 1960’s.

The family was joined by a daughter, Karen (Brendan) a few years later.

They finally happily settled in
Farmingdale and that remained her home until she passed.

She was the beloved Oma to six grandchildren (Brianna, Megan, Zachary, Marissa, Daniel, and Timothy).

She was a True German to the core. Her love was quiet and could be found in her crocheted blankets and doll dresses, sliced strawberries with sugar, her delicious apple pancakes and tea with milk when you were sick. She baked amazing Christmas cookies and perfect pound cake. Warm days were spent sitting on the porch surrounded by her favorite yellow flowers. Christmas Eves were extra special when we would place our shoes in the windowsills waiting for the elves to come and leave presents.

She was a beautiful woman with deep blue eyes and hair that shone reddish in the sun. She was kind, brave, and stubborn. Her resilience was legendary and she was clearly one tough cookie. She passed away on a warm Wednesday morning in her home with her beloved husband holding her hand. We will miss her every day but are so thankful for the time we had with her. Wir lieben dich mehr Oma.
