Macchio, Frank (74) of Farmingdale, peacefully at home surrounded by family on
December 29, 2022. Devoted husband of Mary (Ahern) for 49 years. Cherished father and
father-in-law of Frank J. and Diana, Nicholas and Kristen. He is survived by his loving
grandchildren, Olivia, Bridget, Gavin, Nicholas, Corinne and Emily. Grandpa never
missed an opportunity to ask them, “Did I tell you I love you today?” He will be missed
by his father-in-law, Jerry Ahern, and his Ahern “brothers and sisters,” as well as numerous nieces,
nephews, cousins and friends. He was the beloved son of the late Norma and the late Frank Macchio, Sr.
Frank was a teacher and coach in the Farmingdale
Public Schools for 34 years. Following retirement in 2004, he continued to work as a
house painter and was affectionately known to many as “Frankiedabrush.”
He will be remembered always for his love and devotion to his family.
