Obituary for Ellen B Acinapuro
Acinapuro, Ellen B. (nee Binder) of Farmingdale, NY on November 9, 2021 at 96 years of age. Devoted wife to the late Philip J. Acinapuro. Loving mother of Philip R. Acinapuro (Beverly) of Garden City, NY and Sue Ellen Commender (David) of Larchmont, NY; aunt and “second mom” to Robert “Bobby” Binder (Marga) of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Much cherished “Nanny” to her grandchildren: Alison, David, Philip and Kara. Survived by many other relatives and friends.
A lifelong resident of Farmingdale with a 30-year career teaching elementary and special education students. A devoted member of the Farmingdale United Methodist Church and its bell choir. A former President of the Women’s Club of Farmingdale. An avid swimmer and bridge player. She lived for her children, grandchildren and her extended family.
A memorial visitation on Saturday, November 20, 2021 at 11am to 12:15pm at the McCourt & Trudden Funeral Home, 385 Main Street, Farmingdale. Religious service will follow on Saturday at 12:30pm at the Farmingdale United Methodist Church. A private internment of cremains to follow at Pinelawn Memorial Park.
