Obituary for Donald J Sullivan
“On Wednesday, August 19, 2020, Don Sullivan, loving husband, father of 6 children, grandfather of 9 passed away at the age of 73.
Don was born on May 16, 1947 in New York, NY to Matthew and Lucille (Lake). He grew up in New York City, where he graduated from Mount Saint Michael Academy High School in the Bronx. He attended St. Johns University in Queens for a few semesters. Don was an autodidact and devoured books daily. The library was his sanctuary. He was versed in topics as far ranging as the universe itself. From blackholes and quarks to the battlefield strategies of Civil War generals, he left no stone unturned in his thirst for knowledge.
The only thing Don loved more than learning, was his family. Up until the diagnosis of his illness, he was working 8 shifts a week. There was nothing he wouldn’t do to provide for and help his loved ones.
Don was preceded in death by his parents, Matthew and Lucille. He is survived by his wife Debbie, his 6 children, Kim, Phillip, Danielle, Mike, Nicole and Brooke, his 9 grandchildren, Elijah, Jacob, Ava, Paxton, Fiona, Ethan, Michael, Stella and Liam and his elder brother Bob.”
