Obituary for David J. Coffin
David J. Coffin, (60), of Farmingdale, New York lost his
11 year battle with Kidney Cancer and passed away peacefully on June 9th, 2023. David, fondly known as Dave, was born to Marian and David Coffin on May 31, 1963 in New York. Growing up he loved playing hockey and chess; he also enjoyed working on cars and
playing darts. Dave used his skills as a mechanic while serving for the Marine Corps after finishing high school. After being honorably discharged from the Marines Dave went on to work as a Crane Operator, Heavy Machine Rigger and Shop Foreman. He enjoyed
spending his free time with his family, especially his three daughters: Samantha, Heather and Lily. Despite spending time in and out of the hospital, he never lost his willpower to keep fighting to live. Throughout his entire journey, he cherished the relationships
with his grown children and drew strength to keep fighting from the support of his family. He will be greatly missed by the many family and friends who mourn his passing.
