Obituary for Brian Patrick Rudden

Brian Patrick Rudden of Ocean, NJ, passed on May 20, 2022 at 39 years old.
Born on September 28, 1982 to John Rudden and Therese Rudden, he lived in Farmingdale, NY with his parents and three siblings. Brian graduated from Plainedge High School in 2000 and went on to become a skilled plumber and a member of the UA Local Union No. 1 in New York City. He married Nancee Harrington on May 19, 2018.
As a former lifeguard Brian took great pride in teaching the joys of swimming to children, particularly those with special needs. He was a great athlete who played soccer, lacrosse, and basketball throughout his youth and played varsity basketball for the Plainedge High School Red Devils. Upon enrolling at Monmouth College to pursue a degree in social work, Brian became a fan of the Monmouth Hawks, would frequently purchase front row seats to their home games, and even travelled to Kansas to support the team with his father.
Brian’s warm, kind, and funny personality allowed him to make friends across all walks of life. He would give you the shirt off his back and never complain how cold he was. Whether you knew him for 30 minutes, 30 days, or 30 years, he made an indelible impression that would last a lifetime.
Brian is survived by his wife Nancee Harrington, his step-children Michael Kirschner and Nicole Kirschner, his parents John Rudden and Therese Rudden, his sister Allison Eckert (John), his brothers David Rudden (Marta) and Sean Rudden (Michele). Brian was a wonderful uncle to his nieces Annabelle Rudden, Ellen Rudden, Emilia Eckert, and Juliana Eckert, and his nephew Joseph Rudden.
The wake for Brian Rudden is Thursday (5/26) from 4pm to 8pm at McCourt & Trudden (385 Main St. Farmingdale, NY 11735). Services are Friday (5/27) 10am at St. Kilian’s (485 Conklin St, Farmingdale, NY 11735). Burial is to follow at St. Charles Cemetery in Farmingdale.
